Facelift at 60: Real Results

A softened jawline, deep nasolabial folds,

and noticeably reduced skin elasticity...

These are some of the most common concerns

people begin to notice when they enter their 60s.

For many,

non-surgical treatments are no longer enough,

leading them to consider a facelift.

Today, we'll take a look

at one patient's concerns before surgery

and the changes achieved through facelift surgery.

Surgical outcomes and recovery processes may vary from person to person.

"What Did the Patient Look Like

Before the Facelift?"

Looking at the preoperative photos of this patient in her 60s,

several common signs of facial aging were evident.

Before

✔️ Deep and prominent nasolabial folds

✔️ Wrinkles extending from the corners of the mouth

✔️ More noticeable marionette lines due to sagging around the mouth

As skin elasticity decreased, sagging

within the deeper facial support structures accumulated,

causing the facial contour to descend.

Even when not smiling, the face appeared tired,

and the lower face looked heavy and less defined.

Because the concern involved structural sagging

rather than the skin surface alone, a facelift was recommended.

"Facial Aging in Your 60s

Involves Structural Changes"

Facial aging in the 60s is not simply

a matter of loose skin.

At this stage, laser treatments

or thread lifting alone are often insufficient

to restore the underlying structures.

Just as a weakened building requires reinforcement of its foundation,

significant facial aging often requires a solution

that addresses deeper structural support, such as a facelift.

"LUHO Plastic Surgery's

Customized Lifting Approach"

At LUHO Plastic Surgery in Sinsa,

we analyze each individual's facial characteristics

and the underlying causes of sagging.

The lifting direction and tension are carefully customized

to create natural-looking rejuvenation.

Both the skin layer and the SMAS layer are elevated separately,

helping address the underlying causes of facial sagging.

"How Did the Patient Change After the Facelift?"

For this patient,

who experienced significant loss of skin elasticity,

the facelift resulted in the following improvements.

After

✔️ Improved sagging beneath the cheeks and around the mouth

✔️ Softened deep nasolabial folds

✔️ Reduced appearance of wrinkles beside the mouth

✔️ Better jawline definition, creating a smaller-looking facial contour

By repositioning downward-shifted tissues upward,

the nasolabial folds and wrinkles

around the mouth were naturally softened.

Addressing the root cause of sagging

through facelift surgery helped create a cleaner,

more refined appearance.

At LUHO Plastic Surgery,

our goal in facelift surgery for patients in their 60s is

to achieve a balance between natural-looking rejuvenation

and functional improvement.

By lifting deeper support structures beneath the skin,

facelift surgery can help improve sagging

and looseness at the source.
